Didn't they teach ethics in Business school? Explain to me how all these executives can be making millions of dollars while their companies flounder and sink, sending thousands of people to the unemployment lines. I have always had to meet certain goals to earn my bonuses. Never have I been paid a bonus because I didn't earn any money for a company.
Perhaps the stockholders of these large corporations should say enough is enough. No bonus for losing money. You must make money for the company to get any bonus. I know someone is going to say "I kept the company from losing as much money". That's not good enough. Your salary is what that is for. When the company makes a profit, you should be getting a share of the profit, not a huge bonus. No profit, no bonus.
I know there are a lot of retired execs out there enjoying the fruits of raiding the corporate treasuries and running while the people who made their companies successful, the rank and file people, are suffering, losing their homes, their retirement funds and more. ENOUGH!
No more bail outs for companies that are not willing to give people a stake in the success of the company. No more fat cat executive pay and perks. Let's not go there today. That's another day!
